AIRWEAVE SUPPORTS TEAM USA ATHLETES BY OFFERING THEM THE BEST NIGHT’S SLEEP

As an official mattress supplier of the U.S Olympic Committee, airweave provides its luxury Top Mattress to athletes competing at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games

New York, NY (July 29, 2016) – [airweave LLC] airweave, one of Japan’s leading luxury bedding companies, has begun its expansion into the U.S. market as an official mattress supplier of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC), as well as USA Swimming, USA Diving and USA Volleyball. At the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, airweave will provide more than 300 super thin Portable Top Mattresses for American athletes ensuring them a quality sleep as they compete to bring home the gold.

airweave has revolutionized the sleep sector through its innovative design model that features no foam or springs within the mattress, just 90% air. This highly flexible airfiber core allows anyone who rests upon it to get a good night’s rest, including superstar athletes. airweave’s Portable Mattresses have become crucial to the athletes, helping them get optimal sleep in preparation for competition.

Leading up to the Rio Games, airweave’s ambassadors Ryan Lochte (11 x U.S. Olympic medalist, swimming), Bubba Watson (golf), Jessica Long (17x U.S. Paralympic medalist, swimming), Charlie White (U.S. ice dancer) and Meryl Davis (U.S. ice dancer) have joined airweave officials in multiple cities across the country to share the importance of an “airweave sleep.”

Motokuni Takaoka, founder and CEO, airweave stated, “At airweave, it remains important for us to collaborate with an organization that truly embodies the American spirit, and the USOC does exactly that. U.S. Olympians and Paralympians signify competiveness, graciousness and hard work, which are also pillars for airweave’s business. We are proud that our Top Mattresses are providing these champion athletes with the sleep they need to compete at their maximum potential.”

During the fitting tests, detailed body measurements for each athlete were conducted. The fitting took into account the position of one’s hip and shoulders, height and weight, as well as postural distortions. These athletes then had the option to choose from six different types of personalized airweave mattresses.

About airweave: Founded in Japan in 2007 when Motokuni Takaoka took over his uncle’s fishing line company, airweave was born from a desire to do things differently. After experimenting with different applications of the resin fiber used to create fishing line, Takaoka discovered the material was perfectly suited for a better purpose – to reinvent the mattress industry and revolutionize the way we sleep. Airweave provides four benefits – Its highly resilient bedding material allows you to turn over more easily and maintain deeper sleep; excellent dispersion of body pressure prevents physical strain and minimizes peak pressure points; breathability of core material helps to dissipate heat and moisture generated by body during sleep; and mattress cover and core material are easily washable with water. Current airweave partners include Team USA, Ritz Paris, the Royal Ballet School in London, Japan Airlines, among others. Through these strategic collaborations, airweave has ensured countless consumers, including gold medalists, future prima ballerinas and hospitality guests, receive the best rest possible. airweave is optimizing sleep and powering performance because Tomorrow Starts Tonight.
